Heavy Rain U.S. cover art a little too much?
Leave it to corporate America to take an already awesome game cover for Heavy Rain on the PS3, that is being used in Asia and EMEA, and try too hard to make it U.S. gamer friendly. In all honesty, it doesn’t look bad, but due to U.S. covers typically trying to include too many of the game’s characters or scenes, it doesn’t translate as naturally. If you take a look at the sleek Heavy Rain cover being used around the world, you’d likely agree there was no reason to change anything up.
We discussed this regarding the Mass Effect 2 box art where it looks fairly ridiculous compared to the sleek cover of the original Mass Effect. Let’s have these game publishers chill out on the sensory-overload on cover art and just give us a stylish cover that doesn’t make you want to puke a little each time you see it. No need to include the girl in the white tank top specifically. We know the game has sex, attractive females and suggestive themes. The Heavy Rain cover above looks 20 times better than the U.S. one below. Any opinions on the two? Let us know.
