Project Natal confirmed for 2010 holiday season
If you’ve been following the happenings at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, you may have caught Steve Ballmer’s Microsoft keynote. The most interesting tidbit to us was undoubtedly the confirmation that Microsoft’s motion sensing controller for the XBox 360, Project Natal, will launch during the 2010 holiday season.
While we now know generally when to expect Natal to hit store shelves, plenty of questions have been left unanswered. This confirmation left out a specific launch date; the holiday season could be anytime from October to December. Details are mum on pricing as well and one can only guess as to how much this peripheral will set you back. As Kotaku points out, we’re not even sure what it’s going to be called – the name “Project Natal” has always been considered a working title.
I’d give my left arm to even know what Natal-utilizing games are expected to be available for the holidays, but all these questions must wait. Our mouths are watering for more deets on Natal’s launch, so check back at MMOMFG.com for further updates as they become available. We’ll be watching this with a very close, motion-sensing, eye.
