Dragon Age: Origins returns to Ostagar next week, teases trailer today

The third pack of downloadable content for BioWare’s epically extensive fantasy RPG Dragon Age: Origins will hit PCs and XBox 360 consoles next Tuesday, while PS3 owners will have to wait until later in the month.  Dubbed “Return to Ostagar“, this DLC gives Dragon Age: Origins players the chance to return to the scene of the game’s gruesome early battle, offering quests like reclaiming the fallen King Cailan’s armor and weapon and seeking vengeance for the death of Grey Warden mentor Duncan.

Priced at about $5 bucks, Return to Ostagar follows up previous packs that had players earning the subservance of a stone Golem and reclaiming the ancient Warden stronghold at Soldier’s Peak.  This one excites me more than the previous two, Ostagar has special meaning to players who were forced to watch the slaughter from the sidelines. I’m sure that many who have put serious hours into the title will agree with me when I say that I can’t wait to get back to Ostagar.

BioWare is apparently “thrilled” to take me back there, too.  Here’s what they had to say:

“We are thrilled at the way the fans have embraced Dragon Age: Origins and we’re excited to welcome them back into the game,” said Aaryn Flynn, General Manager and Vice President, BioWare Edmonton. “Return to Ostagar represents BioWare’s commitment to providing a steady stream of compelling post release content as we continue to expand the Dragon Age universe.”

So thrilled, in fact, that they’ve released a trailer for the DLC pack today.  Feast your eyes on what awaits when you Return to Ostagar:
