Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 cleans the sheets with content, update

Konami released a free update today for its Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (PES 2010) for the PS3, XBOX 360 and PC. The new content features a number of additions and fixes that should have footie fans around the globe rejoicing. As Pro Ev has been trying to keep up with the stellar (and earlier released) FIFA 10, updates like this should have players thanking the soccer gods. The free DLC includes 3 new soccer balls and 10 new pairs of boots.
In addition to the new content, the update makes it easier for gamers to use the extensive formation settings and has added icons to show the connectivity status of players online. All settings are able to be saved now and Stocked Data will be loaded automatically (thank Jebus), which speeds up play immediately. The new connectivity icons show the user as a Grey icon, with Green, Yellow and Red icons to detail the user’s connection quality, with Red being the worst. The update also improves matchmaking between users of the PC-version of the game with different processors. If you’re cranking an i7 and your turd opponent has a netbook, you won’t get paired up and forced to play on his crappy level anymore. Soccer on, my friends!
