Attack of the Killer Teddy Bear; Champions Online winter fun

Champions header

Millennium City is under attack by the Black Harlequin and his evil robo-teddy, Clarence, during the holidays. Cryptic has delivered the exciting Attack of the Misfit Toys event this winter break just in time for gamers to celebrate, and defend their city. The Black Harlequin is tweaking the children of Millennium City’s toys ever so slightly causing them to attack when least expected. The heroes of Champions Online are going to be working overtime this holiday season with a fistful of cheer and special abilities.

Clarence isn’t handing out fist bumps and hugs this season, as he’ll be stomping the head’s off of toys all winter long. Cryptic has taken the effort to spice up the holidays offering gamers the chance to refer friends with their new program: allowing old players to grant a new player the ability to try the game for 10 days free, with new in-game items for all and 400 Cryptic points for the referrer if the new player stays, and a special demo allowing players to level up to 15 during the opening tutorial.

Hear it straight from the gift horse’s mouth, Champions Online Executive Producer Bill Roper: “We really wanted to celebrate the holidays by giving our players some really fun gifts. So we’ve cooked up a brand new winter event, and created several new ways to share the joy of Champions Online.”

The additional content, refer a friend and items sound great, but Clarence is the best thing this winter since Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Star Bucks, so bring on the Teddy; bring on the funk!
