Twelve Days of Gamesmas – Eighth Day

gamesmas

Tis the season to be jolly! And with good tidings, we bring the MMOMFG holiday gift suggestions with our new feature, “Twelve Days of Gamesmas”. Each day from now until December 23, we’ll highlight the perfect gifts for gamers, whether it be for yourself, a friend, or for a loved one. We know how hard it can be to make a wish list with so many great gaming options out there, so we’re here to help you separate the gems from the coal. Over the next twelve days, we’ll focus on the best games, peripherals, systems, and tools to help keep you gaming well into the new year and beyond. Let’s get on to the gifts!

On the first day of Gamesmas my true love game to me, an Xbox Elite with green rings.
On the second day of Gamesmas my true love game to me, a Samsung UN46B7000 LED TV.
On the third day of Gamesmas my true love gave to me, a copy of Assassin’s Creed 2.
On the fourth day of Gamesmas my true love gave to me, a Logitech G19.
On the fifth day of Gamesmas my true love gave to me, a copy of Dragon Age: Origins.
On the sixth day of Gamesmas my true love gave to me, an Energizer Power & Play Charging System.
On the seventh day of Gamesmas my true love gave to me, a Mad Catz Wireless N Gaming Adapter.
On the eighth day of Gamesmas my true love gave to me, an A40 Audio System from Astro Gaming:

AstroA40

As far as headsets go, these babies are full of awesome. Turn them up to 11 because with the Astro A40 gaming headset, not only will you get crystal clear sound, it’ll be in 5.1 surround and be compatible with your Xbox 360, PS3, Ipod, DVD Player, and PC. Not only that, but you’ll get the full use of it’s detachable microphone on Xbox Live, Ventrilo (or any PC chat program), or the Playstation Network. Though the above picture shows it in its piano black-white color scheme, the A40 headsets come in multiple flavors.

The black voodoo magic that produces the great sound is all done with the mix amp. This bad boy controls sound for both gaming and voice chat so that your able to switch both discretely at your leisure, produces the 5.1 surround, and allows for easy plug and play (or listen) capabilities. This is the perfect gift for those who want to keep neighbors (or loved ones) from going insane from all the Modern Warfare carnage or the late night games of Fifa. Now you don’t have to sacrifice on sound and those living around you can keep their sanity. Though the full system (headset and mixamp) will cost you $250, reviews from around the Internet have all said it’s well worth it. You definitely get what you pay for and if you ask for it as a gift you won’t have to pay squat. The only other caveat is that their isn’t a wireless version yet. Those with a phobia of wires should take heed, but ultimately give in to some of the best pair of headphones a gamer can ask for. Don’t believe me? Then you might want to check out this, this, or this. I for one hope Santa reads my list this year and sends me these pronto! You can find out more about the Astra A40 at the official website.
