Gran Turismo 5 demo

Gran Turismo 5′s demo is currently unavailable in North America, but if you’re sneaky enough, it is available on the Japanese PlayStation Store. Sound confusing? Well, the demo is 100% import friendly, and if you’re clever enough to create a Japanese PSN account (which isn’t hard), then you can get the demo right now. Rest assured, the demo is in English, including the Prologue demo, by detecting your system’s language and will change it accordingly.

Unfortunately, the demo is a smidgeon over 200mb in size, and just to fill you in, it is slim pickens. The demo limits users to only a handful of options, including the Time Trial Academy mode, where the winners of the Academy have the chance to race real cars. Other than if you’re extremely good at the game or love doing the same crap over and over again, this demo should only stay on your system for about an hour or two tops. Could we not have access to more cars or tracks? What the shlub?

    Well, first, it's only a demo of their "physics engine", not an example of a final product. Also, this demo will be used to help select players for the next GT Academy. For North American, however, those with the top times for the US and Canada will be winning race packages to Indianapolis. Details can be found on their site.

      2. I know it isn't a full demo
      3. It is nice to have, but I would have enjoyed more of the game's modes than just a competition demo. It was all personal feelings, not set in stone, so I'm sure there are plenty out there having fun.

      (read this as I suck at Gran Turismo games)
