Team Fortress Demoman and Soldier Get Armed for War, Again

With the War coming to a close, Team Fortress 2 Demomen and Soldiers have received some new armaments for battle.

For the Soldier, The Equalizer pickaxe fits snugly into your big, burly melee-slot grip. This new beauty lets you move faster and shank harder the closer you get to death. The Soldier can also toss down the new Buff Banner whenever you’ve acquired enough rage in your meter. This second weapon slot item will grant you and your fellow spies, I mean “teammates”, to get a nice 14 second boost of mini-crits.

The Demoman also got their own little weapon dubbed The Scottish Resistance, a remote-detonated grenade launcher. You can choose when and how many grenades blow up at once now, just by looking at a patch that you’ve laid down. Note: The Resistance isn’t as effective at air shots or enemies that like to stay up close and personal, as the new priming time for the ‘nades is 0.4 seconds.

With all that goodness comes 35 achievements to work through for both classes. Replay value has just been rocketed up (pun intended!).
