MMOMFGames of the Week – December 14

Each week MMOMFG likes to highlight the top games coming out and give our insight into whether the games are worthy buying, renting or burying. We’ll also open our reader’s eyes to the one hidden gem amongst all other games, whether it be insane, quirky or just plain awful, but we’ll let you know what our Sleeper Pick of the Week. Let’s get on to the games:

MMOMFGames of the Week – December 14

If this is your first week to read the MMOMFGames of the Week segment, then you’re not in for a treat. This has to be one of the worst weeks ever in gaming history. You might as well call me Farts McGillicuty instead of reading this list, because the Gods of Gaming hath punished us for enjoying the months of October and November so much.

Master Blaster

If you’re into retro gaming, or at least want to experience games of your yesteryear, Blaster Master is available for the Wii and Konami Classics Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 are available on the XBOX 360. The Konami Classics offer six arcade titles, but I wouldn’t really write my mom and tell her I dropped out of law school (if I were enrolled) to play any of these. If you’re interested, you should play at an idiot friend’s house who wasted money on bought these.

EverQuest Underfoot

Possibly the only title worthy of purchase this week is EverQuest Underfoot for the PC, the 16th expansion to the EverQuest franchise. The expac (not to be confused with the 1-2-3 Kid) offers plenty of new quests, items, spells and alternate advancement (AA) abilities. The Expansion Progression Window offers easy access for subscribers to see what exactly they’ve accomplished and where they need to travel to reach their desired progression path. Underfoot also features up to 15 new zones, more weapon models (actually more than twice as many available than any previous expansion) and all-inclusive access to all features and content from the previous 15 expansion packs. If you play EverQuest, or enjoy MMOs, you might as well check out what Sony Online Entertainment has to offer.

Playmobil Circus

Oh wow, we’re already at the Sleeper Pick of the Week? To the scrud-buckets who took their Christmas holidays a week early, thanks for nothing! Horsehockey! The show must go on. The Sleeper Pick of the Week, drum roll please, is Playmobil Circus for the Wii! Don’t be fooled by the limited gaming features mentioned on the box, there is a ton more available upon the first completion of the game. Initial features include playing in the Playmobil universe, including characters, animals and settings! Players have access to over 16 different circus acts. Players can also team up with up to 4 friends in 2 (count them), 2 different multiplayer modes including Versus and Teamwork! HOLY SHAZBOTS! Two modes? This must be our lucky day! Little known rumor is the developers slipped in a few hidden modes that are NC17 like Playmobil: Sniper and Playmobil: Karate Chop Your Balls Off. Both modes offer gamers the chance to follow in the footsteps of some of the deadliest Playmobil characters in history. These are not the typical Playmobil you’d see on a Saturday morning cartoon, but the hardest of hard inmates found in a Playmobil prison.

I’m actually kidding, those modes don’t exist, but they’d make the game a whole hell of a lot better. Either way, go buy a Zhu Zhu Hamster this week and play with that, because all these games sucked. I’m sorry. Please read next week’s post, as there might be a game worth not defecating on.
