Hope Lives for Duke Nukem fans with new title tease
While the last Duke Nukem title reportedly in the works, Duke Nukem Forever, hangs in some sort of game development lingo between working project and top of the scrap heap, a new Duke title has been teased by none other than Facebook.
The screenshot above was posted to the Duke Nukem facebook fan page earlier today, as first reported by Shacknews. The page also consists of three status updates over the last few days: “Duke Nukem…doesn’t stay down for long,” “Duke Nukem…D-Day preview pic,” and “Duke Nukem…I’ve been Shacked. Bring it on.” The last appears to be a nod to the site that got the scoop.
Read into all that what you will, but doesn’t the alien in this teaser screen look a lot like a certain final boss cyclops who Duke once fought on a soccer field?
One thing is for sure: we better all keep our fingers crossed that this game actually comes out.

As much as I want to believe this, when the developers came outright and said they were not going to release Duke Nukem, I stopped believing. I want to believe it sooo bad, but I'm not going to. It would only break my heart again. Darn you 3D Realms! If it does ever come out at this point, it's going to be a ginormous let down for as much as its been hyped. 10+ years in the making for a game, pfft.
