Valve addresses Left 4 Dead 2 online issues for XBOX 360

Left 4 Dead 2

There have been thousands of complaints regarding the XBOX 360’s online support for Left 4 Dead 2 since the launch last Tuesday. Luckily, Valve has decided to kibosh the cries of lag by tidying up the servers a bit. Valve has delivered a Thanksgiving treat for you and yours by upgrading the servers from nearly unplayable to speedy and nice.

Valve’s blog addresses the issues stating, “We have upgraded our network infrastructure to better accommodate the huge response to L4D2. 360 players will now have lag-free servers. We’ve also added more dedicated servers.”

If you found the servers to be unbearable to the point of not even bothering playing online, you’re now being taken care of with a much better online experience. The biggest issue I have with the whole situation is that there was already so much bashing of L4D2 out there, that you’d think these dedicated servers and lag issues would have been in place pre-launch and not require a week and a half to be addressed.

Have you had any experiences with horrible online play? Are the new servers treating you better? We’d love to hear your thoughts.

  4. Dustin Said,

That sucks. I own the PC version and haven't had a chance to fire up the 360 servers since the change on my XBOX. Hopefully they'll get this figured out, otherwise, it is going to be a mess for Valve.
