Dante’s Inferno has officially entered beta testing

According to the Dante’s Inferno PR team’s Twitter and Facebook accounts, DI just hit beta testing to work out some final kinks. The game is slated for release on February 9, 2010 for XBOX 360, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3. Throughout the last several months, Dante’s Inferno PR team has been actively campaigning the game to intrigue the masses, but today’s news of testing makes me happier than any PR scheme.

With testing underway, we can be comfortable knowing that Visceral Games is going to put a heavily tested product out on February 9; and from the videos and interviews, the game looks to be a massive success. Go to Hell? Don’t mind if I do!

Check out Dante’s team’s Tweet/Facebook message below and if you haven’t already, give our Spotlighting New IPs for 2010: Dante’s Inferno post a read. It will provide you with more details on the game and our impressions of why you should or shouldn’t be lining up at Midnight on February 8. See you in the 7th circle of Hell!

The Dante’s Inferno Team / @danteteam: has hit Beta! That means we hit zero bugs for the first time, but we’re going to keep testing and polishing to make sure it’s as tight as it can be, and be ready to ship on Feb. 9. Thanks to all the Facebook fans for your support and encouragement…it means a lot to us! Almost there!!

Is that scheduled to release around the time of the movie?

I do believe the movie will be released straight to DVD with the title, if I'm not mistaken. I wouldn't quote me on this, but I think I read that last week on a Dante's Inferno press release. Also, Pablo, you comment here a lot.
