Alert the presses, Just Cause 2 has an official release date! The next generation Bionic Commando is going to get parachuting and grapple-hooking sooner than expected. Square Enix Europe has confirmed today the much anticipated Avalanche Studios’ title Just Cause 2′s official release date.

North American gamers can pick up their copies for the PC, PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 on March 23, 2010. You fancy, fancy Europeans and other EMEA’ers can look to free-fall on March 26, 2010. There has been a literal buttload of videos and screens that continue coming out that are keeping us on the edge of our seats for this title.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never tried the first title, but have expressed that if there is no grappling hook or free-falling in it, then I won’t need to bother. I should probably give it a rent to at least find out if I can sky-dive like in Point Break.

Let me know if you have any experiences with Just Cause and if so, how excited are you for one of the best looking titles for 2010? Is the March 26 release date going to affect whether Andrew, Justin and I make it to PAX East 2010 on time? Only time will tell! Check out the latest screenshots below!

  1. Pablo Said,

I hope the controls are better than they were on the first Just Cause. Loved the concept, not the controls.
