Dark Void

Dark Void, Capcom’s upcoming modern age Rocketeer, has been a cornucopia of exciting news this week. Yesterday, we discovered that Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B had harnessed its powers with Reliance BIG Entertainment and Capcom to develop a full length blockbuster film based on the game of the same title.

Today, Capcom unveiled a new trailer for the game set for release on the PC, PS3 and XBOX 360 on January 19, 2010. The trailer focuses on the main protagonists of the game named The Watchers. The game’s main premise has the main character crashing in the Bermuda Triangle and is ported to another dimension. With the help of Nikola Tesla’s adjustments of technology, William Agustus Grey (the main character) will utilize the Watchers technology to help fight against them.

The movie has no further details regarding if Pitt will actually star in the film and no announcements on production have begun, but keep visiting MMOMFG for further details on both the film and movie. Check out the slick trailer below. It can be a bit confusing due to the limited info on the game, but following the Gold-4-Jetpacks commercials, it seems they are sticking to the more serious side of the game for now. I preferred the funny angle, but that’s just me.

I'm skeptical of any game to movie translation, but this just takes it too far. I already doubt the quality of a movie if it has a production company named Plan B.
