Square Enix confirms Kane & Lynch 2 for 2010

After teasers and trademark news were leaked, Square Enix has officially confirmed Kane & Lynch 2. This generation’s Odd Couple will be making their appearance on PC, PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 in 2010. Headed up by developer IO Interactive, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will feature the notorious duo as they make their way through the shady underbelly of Shanghai. Who knows how much trouble Kane and Lynch will be able to get into in the land where 10-year-old boys, jazz cigarettes and Chinese nose-rice gets traded on the open market daily.
Developers IO have taken their style for the game from gritty documentary filmmakers and popular user-submitted films. This grainy, new age look allows for the gamer to be more engrossed with the content and feel more of a connection. According to IO Interactive’s general manager, Niels Jorgensen, “Gamers are always looking for something new and that is exactly what they are going to get with Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. A special thanks to gamers worldwide for their feedback. They are certainly in for a shock as we, with immense pride, welcome back our two dear, violent and somewhat unfortunate friends.”
