BioShock 2 box art surfaces

2k Games have just last night unveiled the box art for BioShock 2, the much anticipated sequal to 2k’s 2007 blockbuster.  The cover shows the game’s protagonist, a Big Daddy prototype, drill equipped and with little sister riding atop. Peep the cover below.

The first Bioshock was amazing – a dazzling FPS mix of guns, plasmids (kinda like bio magic) and giant drill-weilding robots.  With the sequel, 2k Games puts the player in the mind of the first of these hulking machines, a Big Daddy prototype who can weild more weapons and deal much more damage than the original game’s human protagonist.  For instance, the Big Daddy can weild a weapon in his right hand while simultaneously using plasmids with the other – a feat the first game’s human character couldn’t accomplish.

BioShock 2 ships on February 9th, 2010 to PCs as well as XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 consoles.
