Duke Nukem Side Scroller Coming to Xbox Live

Duke Nukem

Maybe, maybe not. But if you like conspiracy theories, or theories of any kind you might want to read on.

Back in 2002, Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project was released for Windows. It was a side-scrolling action title featuring our famous hero.  It seems like this lady worked on it back in the day.  Now, Ms.  Heineman is working at Microsoft as the lead software development engineer.  Besides making lots of cash, she’s also said in an old forum post that she’s worked on Halo: ODST as well as DN:Manhattan Project for Xbox Live.  That’s all well and good but last I checked it’s not on Xbox Live…yet.

No word on if this is a port or a complete makeover a la another side-scroller that’s done well on Xbox Live, Shadow Complex.  Again this is rumor and speculation but it’s a nice one nonetheless. It just goes to show, you can’t keep Duke down forever.  Or maybe you can but he’ll just keep coming to your doorstep like a Jehovah’s witness or girl scout.

I really miss connecting two playstations(albeit with two heavy tube tv's only 6 feet away). I think that was my first real fps multiplayer experience. Thank you Duke Nukem! My fps void wan't filled untill the first time I played Halo CE, so you get thanks too, Master Chief! Now, lets all go hide somewhere in Blood Gulch and make out….
