Is Dead Space 2 dropping in 2010?

The sequel to Visceral Games’ 2008 hit Dead Space appears to be coming in the next calendar year, according to a Reuters article filed today.  The article, which looks at recent record sales of horror games, doesn’t reveal a specific date, but does state that Dead Space 2 “is in development for next year.”

And I say the sooner the better.  Personally, I absolutely loved Dead Space.  It proved that survivor horror is a genre alive and well – something that Resident Evil 5 tried very very hard to disprove.  That’s right, Capcom, I said it.
