Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood Gathburz screens

Things are looking up for current subscribers of Lord of the Rings Online. Turbine has managed to steadily release new patchs (books) throughout the year further improving the MMO including a new expansion, Siege of Mirkwood, set for release on December 1, 2009. The expansion will up the level cap to 65, include new zones and enhanced Monster Play and expansive raids and dungeons.

One of the new zones features orc infested lands called Gathburz, which fans of the books should remember well. If you haven’t tried out Lord of the Rings Online, head over to Turbine’s site and try the free trial.
