Darksiders briefly delayed in early January 2010

Heaven and hell might not be ready for the unwanted hero of Darksiders, and neither are THQ. Not much of a shock that THQ has shifted the release dates for the highly anticipated Darksiders. The game had originally been slated for a January 1, 2010 release for both North America and Europe. However, gamers can now expect to see Darksiders on shelves in North America on January 5 and in Europe on January 7.

Much to the chagrin of gamers waking up on New Years Day and lopping off the heads of demons or angels, they’ll now have to wait a few additional days. If it makes any difference, the above box art is new and looks fan-freaking-tastic. Now if THQ pushes the release date back any further, we may have to get medieval on someone’s ass.
