NCSoft announces North American Aion launch servers
*Updated server list shows initial list to be incorrect. We have updated the below list of server to reflect the appropriate launch day servers. Sorry for any confusion, but the servers pulled the old flippy-floppy on us!
NCSoft have announced the 12 servers that will be available upon the launch of Aion on September 22 (and earlier for certain pre-orderers). Half of the servers will be hosted as West Coast servers with Pacific Time Zone server times and the other half being East Coast servers with Eastern Time Zone server times. This will give players a range of times to choose which will best suit their playing times and allowing for peak PvP/ raid times when planning which servers to pick.
I am all for developers releasing the names of servers well in advance allowing guilds and individuals the ability to research who will be playing where and coordinate accordingly. Nothing worse than launch day and not knowing where to make your guy since you won’t want to reroll a character after you find out six of you are on PigRock and three are on HorseMangler (not real servers, by the way).
MMOMFG will have a preview of our open-beta experiences in Aion available later this week, but until then, let us know which server you will be flying around on. The North American launch servers, according to the fansite Aion Source, can be found below:
West Coast Servers (PST): Ariel, Kaisinel, Nezekan, Siel, Vaizel and Yustiel
East Coast Servers (EST): Azphel, Israphel, Lumiel, Marchutan, Triniel and Zikel
