Forza Motorsport 3 has gone gold; demo available Sept. 24
Listen up all you race fans and gear heads! Forza Motorsport 3, the next iteration of the immensely popular racing sim, has announced today that it has gone gold and will be releasing demos of the game available starting the week of September 24. These demos will lead players into the last lap before the official release dates in Asia on Oct. 22, in Europe Oct. 23 and in North America Oct. 27 exclusively on the XBOX 360.
The demo will allow players to hop in the driver seat of five incredible cars on the full circuit of the game’s Camino Viejo track. The demo features the five playable vehicles below:
- 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro
- 2009 Mini John Cooper Works
- 2009 Ferrari California
- 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
- 2007 Porsche #80 Flying Lizard 911 GT3-RSR
The demo puts players in the full cock-pit view and allows them to experience damage, rollover and the ability to test out the game’s new rewind feature while cruising along the Spanish mountainside inspired by the Montserrat region just outside of Barcelona, Spain. As a note, when I lived in Barcelona, I traveled to Montserrat and it is freaking gorgeous. Hopefully the demo will do the countryside its justice!
When playing the demo online, players will be able to access the leaderboard for lap time trials and challenge other racers for the top spot. Along with today’s announcement of Forza 3 going gold, Gamestop will have exclusive rights for providing the limited Collector’s Edition, which includes 10 exclusive bonus cars, VIP community status, and more.
Gamers should race (no pun intended) to Game Stop to pre-order now their copy of Forza Motorsport 3 now, which will include over 400 cars on 100 plus tracks. If you’d like further information on the game, please visit Forzamotorsport.net.
